Greenbrier Europe has a comprehensive portfolio of proven wagon designs as well as a professional staff of engineers to develop new designs to meet our customer needs. Our modern and experienced manufacturing facility provides our customers with quality products and on-time delivery. Greenbrier Europe consists of a manufacturing facility, WagonySwidnica S.A., located in Swidnica Poland, a sales support facility, Greenbrier Germany GmbH, located in Leipzig, Germany.

In 2008, Greenbrier celebrates ten years of doing business in Europe. We are proud of what we have achieved in those ten years. It has been quite a journey since September 1998 when we bought a factory in Swidnica, producing only 100 wagons a year. From those humble beginnings, Greenbrier has grown to be one of the leading wagon builders in Europe.

The rail freight industry has experienced a transformation that few could have imagined. It has been exposed to forces of competition, which are driving fundamental change and restructuring the industry. New faces have appeared and many have left the stage.
